Never Fail Doughnuts

 
 

2 pkg. (2 T.) yeast

1/2 C. warm water
1 C. scalded milk
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 C. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/2 C. corn margarine
1 egg + 4 egg yolks, beaten
Flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. 

Add  vinegar, sugar, salt and margarine to scalded milk.

When lukewarm add yeast, egg and egg yolks.  Add flour to make a soft dough.  Let rise.

Roll out 3/8 " thick.  Fry in oil at 375 - 400 for 2 minutes on each side.

Glaze while hot.  Yield 3 dozen.
